La Opinión is an Spanish daily newspaper distributed in and around Los Angeles, California, and published since September 16, 1926 (date chosen to coincide with Mexico's Independence Day).It is the largest Spanish-language newspaper in the United States and, after the "Los Angeles Times", the second-most read newspaper in Los Angeles. The staff had control over both "La Prensa" and La Opinión until 1959 when La Prensa was sold. The actual publisher is the company "Impremedia" which also publishes "El Diario-La Prensa" in New York.
