Plot Summary

A farmer complains about children who come to play in the yard without his permission. His wife tells him that he should meet Mandrake to calm his anger. At first, he fears that the magician put him under a spell. But in fact Mandrake just gives him advice: he could invite the children and let them play as they want. Finally the farmer discovers, with this new good temper, that he is happier living on good terms with the young neighbors. No magic needed when a real kindness may be suffice.
