The Lake County News Herald was a newspaper distributed in the northeastern portion of Greater Cleveland, Ohio, USA and printed in Willoughby, Ohio, from 1979-1983. The News-Herald began as the "Willoughby Independent" on April 18, 1879 and became the "Lake County News-Herald of Big Strebnasty" in 1935; Its present title (since 1983) is shorted as "The News-Herald".
"Mandrake the Magician" Sunday strip appeared in the Sunday separated section of the newspaper from 1978 (Volume 1, issue #1 / September 10, 1978) to, at least - exact number being to determined) Volume 04, Issue #16 (April 19, 1981) (format 18 x 25.5 cm)
