The Blue Phantom is a story written and drawn by Fred Fredericks and published, as an one-shot comic-book, in 1962 by Dell Comics.
About the story
During the Civil War, Rex Kingsbury, son of a Virginia plantation owner, is coming back home after having work in gold mines. At a lunch barbecue hold for his return, a clash opposes him to Confederacy soldiers who accuses him to have Yankees trends as his father had freeded the plantation slave before dyning. The plantation mansion is then burned by these soldiers. Going off for a new life, Rex becomes "The Blue Phantom" (blue is the color of the Union uniform) and fights the Rebels.
