The book explains how the Brazilian publisher Roberto Marinho, founder of RGE ("Rio Gráfica e Editora"), became one of the most important publishers in his country and a business magnate, achieving an immense wealth through the creation and ownership of the enterprise "Grupo Globo".

The author details in particular the primordial role of Roberto Marinho in comics publishing when he created very successful magazines such as O Globo Juvenil and Gibi, before many titles like "The Phantom" ("Fantasma" ), "Flash Gordon", "Mandrake the Magician" ("Mandrake"), "Black Rider" ("Cavaleiro Negro"), "Bettle Bailey" ("Recruta Zero"), "Prince Valiant " ("PrinceValiente"), "Popeye", "Dick Tracy", "Captain Easy" (Capitão Cesar), "Red Ryder" ("Bronco Piler") and "Captain Marvel" ("Capitão Marvel") amongst others.

Several testimonials from RGE employees are also given in the book which describes how Roberto Marinho adapted his methods to the challenges of its competitors, especially with different positions from one of his main rival Adolfo Aizen.
