Lamberto Lombardi is an Italian comics artist.

Biography

Lamberto Lombardi started his career for the publisher Gabriele Gioggi (Rome, Italy) and specialized in humorous stories with anthropomorphic animals. He created several characters like the kangaroo "Bingo" and the squirrel "Frugolino" to mention a few.

In the late 50s he also did illustrations for "Il Giornalino", a weekly Catholic magazine by Edizioni San Paolo. For the same publisher he did illustrations in the 70s, like: "La caccia alle meteore" by Jules Verne and "Un giornalista americano nel 2889".

For Editrice SEAT (Società Edizioni Attualità) he did covers for the "Agente ZZ" series by Massimo Liorni and Jaime Vallvé.

From 1968 he made several stories with "the Phantom" for Fratelli Spadas "Avventure Americane - L'Uomo Mascherato" series. He possible also made several stories for the similar series with Mandrake.

In the 70s he made stories in "'Scorpio" and "Lanciostory", both by Eura Editoriale. He also illustrated children's books like "Pinocchio".
