King of the Comics - 100 Years of King Features
King of the Comics - 100 Years of King Features is an American book, published in 2015 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of King Features Syndicate. It was nominated for two 2016 Eisner Awards: "Best Comics-Related Book" and "Best Publication Design".
The book relates the impact that "King Features Syndicate " has had on popular culture From the earliest days when William Randolph Hearst first added cartoons to his newspapers to the recent and modern comics creations.
An softcover edition was released in August 2018 with the ISBN number 978-1-64405-339-1.
Two "Mandrake" Sunday strip are reproduced in the book: 1°) the September 29, 1935 Sunday page (on page 182 / full page in color / story "Land of the Fakirs" and 2°) the October 18, 1936 Sunday page (on page 183 / full page in bl.& w. / story "Chamber into the X Dimension".
