Biography
Jim Calafiore is an American comic book penciller, inker, and professional illustrator. He began his career on the comic book industry in 1989 working for "Caliber Press" on the title "Progeny". Later on he worked for small publishers like "Valiant Comics". His first published work for "DC Comics" was in 1995 in the title "Aquaman". The same year he was hired by "Marvel Comics" and debuted on the title "Force Works" and he would keep working simultaneously for both companies on some of their most iconic titles, as "Nightcrawler", and "Scarlet Witch".
In a 30-plus year career, Jim Calafiore has also worked on various "Batman", "Deadpool" and "Black Panther" comic-books. His other work includes "Faction Paradox", and writing Marvel's "Exiles" and "Millennium Visions".
Most recently, Calafiore worked for DC on the title "Red Lanterns" and on Defenders of the Earth (Mad Cave) 2024 series such as relaunched in 2024 by Mad Cave Studios pupblisher.
