Plot Summary
In the office of Mr. Bulmer, executor of the will of Giacomo Stuart, getting William Stuart know that he is the sole beneficiary on two conditions. For the first, he must not marry Anna Maria Stephonson. Second, he must spend a year in the "Castello de Lin" -otherwise the legacy accrue Anna Maria Stephonson.
Without knowing who Anna Maria Stephonson is, William goes to the castle.
