The Free Press Weekly Prairie Farmer was a Canadian weekly newspaper published every Wedesnday in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Printed and published in fact by the "Winnipeg Free Press Company", publisher of the main newspaper "Winnipeg Free Press, it provides coverage of a variety of articles, news and material about farms and local farmers.
A separate color comics section (cost: 5 cents) was also printed under the title "Free Press Weekly". This supplement pubished comics like "Mark Trail", "Blondie", "The Katzenjammer Kids", "Bugs Bunny" and "Archie". It also included the "Mandrake the Magician" Sunday strip, at least in 1962 as the precise dates remaining to be determined with more details.
