History
In 1991 "Istituto Geografico De Agostini" released La grande avventura dei fumetti with the sub title gli eroi - la storia - i segreti. The series is curated by Franco Fossati, Sergio Giuffrida, Sergio Pomati with contributions by Ferruccio Alessandri, Luca Boschi, Gianni Brunoro, Antonio Serra and Umberto Volpini.
Each issue consists of:
- 12 pages of "Encyclopedia" with the history of comics (later collected into three volumes),
- 8 pages of "dictionary" with an index of series, comics and creators (later collected into one volume) and
- 2 pages of "Drawing is easy" an illustrated manual on drawing techniques (later collected into on volume).
Attached to each issue of La grande avventura dei fumetti was an issue of 34 pages, La raccolta de la grande avventura dei fumetti. It was an anthology collection of comic stories (later collected into four volumes). In addition there were made nine collector boxes for the "La raccolta de la grande avventura dei fumetti" series.
