"The Floating Island" is the 157th Mandrake Sunday story. The story was written by Lee Falk and drawn by Fred Fredericks.
Plot Summary
Mandrake and friends are on voyage with the S.S. Kraken.
First they discovers a moving tiny square island, pulled by killer whales. The family on the floating island were survivors from a far away isle, that sank beneath the sea after a volcanic eruption years ago. The family had built the little square isle from many small rafts, covered it with earth and sand. And then with plants, vegetabiles and a few trees.
Next a pirate attack....
