Interpresse

From MandrakeWiki

Interpresse A/S (later Semic Interpresse) was a Danish publisher. Founded in 1954 as Stenby Press, it became "Interpresse" the following year. As far as Mandrake the Magician is concerned, the publisher had released in 1971 the first issue of the regular series Fantomet (Danish) and in 1984 the publication Fantomet Solo 1 - Mandrake.

It had a dominant position in the Danish market of comic-books, especially from the early 1970's, with foreign branches too in Belgium, France and Norway.

From 1973 I"nterpresse" was half-owned by "Bonnier Semic International" in Sweden, and in 1986 Bonnier took full control. On July 1986, "Interpresse" and "Carlsen Comics" - which was also owned by "Bonnier" - were merged into "SEMIC Forlagene A/S", a name changed in 1991 to "Semic Interpresse".

From July 1997, all comics releases were taken over by "Egmont Serieforlaget".
