There is no date printed on the cover or inside. But on the back cover there is an ad from Vogue Distributors: "Slot Car Scoop" (manufactured by K&B and Aurora), ideal christmas or birthday gift. K&B produced their first slot car series in 1964, then a second series in 1965. In 1966 (August ?) Aurora Corporation of NY bought K&B and issued a new series of 1/32 scala kits, and the ad on the back cover of Mandrake #42 is from this series. The ad mentions christmas so the Mandrake #42 might be from November - December 1966.
