"L'uovo azzurro" is an Italian made Mandrake story from 1968.

Plot summary

Mandrake and Lothar are out for a walk in the park. Lothar is lucky and finds a four-leaf clover, while Mandrake discovers an apparently unconscious beautiful woman. Mandrake manages to wake her, and she kisses him before leaving the park. On the way home in the car, Mandrake falls into a deep sleep. Later, a park keeper finds a man in a deep sleep on a bench, and during the night, a night watchman notices a beautiful woman inside a fur shop. She kisses him, and when he wakes up in the morning, the shop has been looted. The police chief contacts Mandrake, and together they discover the connection between the cases: a mysterious beautiful woman who, by kissing her victim, induces a deep sleep.

While leaving the police station, Mandrake and Lothar accidentally encounter the mysterious woman, but she and her accomplice manage to escape. Narda arrives at Mandrake's apartment just before he does and finds a beautiful woman inside who says she is waiting for Mandrake. Mandrake shows up but struggles to explain himself to Narda, who storms out of the apartment in a rage.

Mandrake confronts the mysterious woman, Kissy-Kissy, but is caught off guard and knocked out by Brutus, her accomplice. Initially, Kissy-Kissy and Brutus consider killing Mandrake but decide it's better to have the villain Rooks keep Mandrake captive until they complete Operation Sangarani. With Mandrake out of the way, Kissy-Kissy, posing as journalist Wilcox, gains access to Raja Sangarani's hotel room. A kiss puts Raja Sangarani into a deep sleep, and the two villains start searching for the famous diamond, "The Blue Egg."

Mandrake manages to escape from Rooks and discovers what Operation Sangarani is: the wealthy Raja Sangarani is in town to display his famous diamond. Kissy-Kissy and Brutus are after "The Blue Egg."
