Below information is based on the page "Spotlight on Lee Falk - Timeline". Lee Falk was a frequent traveler. This list focuses more particularly on the his travels abroad USA.

More dates and details remain to be determined, especially with regard to the two particular stays below (stays not detailed in this list) :

  • 1937: Tour in Europe for several months.
  • 1938, May: sailing to Norway, Sweden and Russia with a visit at the Mrs. Falk's parents in Bulgaria.

in ARGENTINA

  • 1970 (December): Visit in Buenos Aires.

in AUSTRALIA

  • 1988, March: Visit in Sydney to discuss plans for future "Phantom" film.
  • 1996, January: Visit on the set of "The Phantom" film.

in BRAZIL

  • 1970 (November 20 to 22): visit in Rio de Janeiro before leaving for Sào Paulo.
  • 1970 (November 25): Speech at the "Congresso Internacional de Histórias em Quadrinhos" held in Sào Paulo (Art Museum).

in BULGARIA

  • 1938: Spends some time in Bulgaria visiting relatives and traveling through the Balkans.

in CANADA

  • 1967, January 12: At the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation television studios, Toronto, for the Pierre Berton's show.

in CHINA

  • 1978 (April): Journey with his wife Elizabeth.
  • Note: at the time (1978), Hong Kong was a dependent territory of the "United Kingdom". The handover of Hong Kong from the "United Kingdom" to the "People's Republic of China" occurred on July 1, 1997.

in DENMARK

  • 1983 (undated): Visit in Copenhagen.

in FRANCE

  • 1965 (Spring): Short stay in Paris before to go in Bordighera, Italy.
  • 1966 (undated): Visit in Paris for the exhibition of Mandrake/Phantom which took place from 3 to 15 June.
  • 1967 (Spring): Visit in Paris for the comics exhibit entitled "Bande dessinée et figuration narrative".
  • 1972, October 7: Present in Paris for local Comics Convention, before leaving for London.

in GREAT BRITAIN

  • 1937 (June to October 14): Stay after several months' tour in Europe with his wife Louise and return sailing from Southamton.
  • 1938, May 31: Lee and Louise arrive Liverpool, sailing with S.S. "Samaria" from N.Y. via Boston, Greenock and Dublin. Stay in London.

in INDIA

  • 1980 (undated / probably April): Visit in Bombay (India).

in ITALY

  • 1965 (February/March): Attends at the first “International Exhibition of Comics” held in Bordighera (February 21 and 22).
  • 1971 (October): Attendance at the Lucca Comics Conference where he wins “The Yellow Kid Award” / also receives “The Roman Lifetime Achievement Award” by The Italian Minister of Culture
  • 1984 (undated): Invited at the 16th Italian Comics Conference in Lucca, receives asecond "Yellow Kid Award" in tribute for “A Life in Comics World”.

  • 1935 (October): After his marriage with Louise Kanazireff, honeymoon for a month in Mexico.

  • 1985, May 22: Again awarded by "Svenska Serieakademin" with a diploma at the "Ramlösa Brunnshotel"l in Helsingborg.
  • 1986 (undated): Visit of the recently opened "Fantomenland" theme park in Eskilstuna.
  • 1986, August 23: Presence for another "Svenska Serieakademin"award with the "Guld-Adamson" ("The Golden Adamson") in Gothenburg (= Göteborg).
  • 1990, September 13: Visit of the Gothenburg Book Fair before to visit the Liseberg Amusement Park.
  • 1996, October 28: Present at the European Premiere of the Phantom film in Stockholm.
