1001 Macera was a bi-weekly Turkish magazine published by Kemal Özcan Kitabevi, "established by" Kemal Özcan and directed by Melih Yener. Kemal Özcan may be the same person as Kemal Uzcan who published a long-running comics magazine titled 1001 Özel in the 1950s as the adresses for the offices of 1001 Macera and 1001 Özel are same.
History
The "1001 Macera" series was printed without any numbering or date on the cover or inside. Some of the issues have a back-issue list inside, but the numering and titles changing in each back-issue list, making it hard to make an index for the series. The first "1001 Macera" issue was devoted to Kızılmaske (The Phantom - numbered with 14-1 inside, January 14 ?)) and there was at least one more Phantom issue later. At least five issues were devoted to Mandrake: "Deli Kral", "Deli Kral" II, "İki Mandrake Karşı Karşıya", "Hayalet Ormanı" and "Mumyalar Arasında".
