Coleccion Heroes Modernos presenta: Merlin el Mago Moderno was a Spanish publication dedicated to "Mandrake the Magician".

History

It was published in 1958-1959 with a total of 16 issues published by "Editorial Dolar".

Each issue has a horizontal format of 30 x 20 cm and were printed in black & white except for the colored cover which is drawn by a Spanish artist. At the time, the contents – dailies strips, except for two issues – were recently stories.

Unsold copies were later glued together in 3 albums each entitled "Album de Lujo" with a new outer cover. "Album de Lujo" #1 and #2 are composed of the first 10 issues of the series (five each album) when "Album de Lujo" #3 is composed of the last 6 issues.

It is regularly indicated that one more important album, containing the three "Album(s) de Lujo" was later published.
