El País (Cuban newspaper)
El Pais was a Cuban newspaper founded in 1921.
A weekly supplement of 6 (in some early years) or 8 pages (later), size 28 x 35,5 cms and in color, was published since 1941 with classics comics such as: "Flash Gordon", "Bruce Genrty", "The Lone Ranger", "Winnie Winkle", "Tarzan", "Muff and Jeff", "Krazy Kat", "Popeye", "Dick Tracy", "El Fantasma ("The Phantom)", "Nancy"... These titles vary along the publication run and the series don't necessary follow a strict continuity from one issue to another. To note: a series of 140 cards - featuring many of these commics and their characters - was also released in the fifties.
As far as "Mandrake el Mago" ("Mandrake the Magician") was concerned, the Sunday strip pages were published at least from 1947 to the fifties
