Behind the scenes
"The village witch" is a cut and past story. Mandrake, Narda and Lothar are lifted from art by Phil Davis and Italian artists. One villain is lifted from Dell's Four Color #1024 "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" adapted by Alex Toth from the 1959 Walt Disney film "Darby O'Gill and the Little People". While others figures and panels are taken from other various sources. This collage story was added extra ink and became a new Mandrake story.
The story is signed OMRI, probably an anagram of Domenico Mirabella.
