History

Charles Raizer (1892-1967) bought a company that made manufactured tissue embroidery patterns in 1917. He changed the company name to Transogram, and started to manufakture toys, play sets and activity items. One of the graphic designer at the company was Al Capp, later known for the comic strip Li'l Abner (and later Lee Falk's silence partner at "The Boston Summer Theatre"). The company grew during the years and made toys, games, playroom furniture, coloring, craft sets, sports sets and on. Transogram Company was incorporated in Pennsylvania on September 4, 1959. A few years after the death of Charles Raizer the company was closed down.
