In 1936 César Civita began his career in Italy as general manager at Mondadori. He emigrated to New York in 1938, and moved to Buenos Aires in 1941 and founded Editorial Abril. "Editorial Abril" became Walt Disney's representative in Argentina and start publishing "El Pato Donald" and other various magazines.
His younger brother, Victor Civita came to São Paulo in 1949 and founded "Editora Abril", which became a publishing giant in Brazil and one of the largest media groups in America Latin.
