Issue overview
Under the generic title Coleccion Heroes Modernos three different series were published:
- Série A was devoted to "El Hombre Enmascarado (The Phantom)",
- Série B devoted to "Flash Gordon" and
- Série C was dedicated to various King Features Syndicate comic characters.
It should be noted that with issues Héroes Modernos - Serie C #56 to Héroes Modernos - Serie B #66 back covers reproduced one Sunday page in color by Phil Davis, taken from another story than the one illustrated inside. The continuity of this Sunday pages story running alternatively from back covers in the series A to the back covers of the series B and C, a commercial way to get readers in buying each issues from the three different series if they wanted read the full Sunday pages story.
