Sarjakuvalehti
Sarjakuvalehti is a Finnish publication, published total 317 issues between 1949 and 1963. 1949 with 18 issues, 1950 with 20 issues, 1951 with 26 issues, 1952 til 1959 24 issues.
History
Valiolehdet Oy published the first issue of a title called Sarjakuvalehti in 1949. Inside one find various US strips as; Tim Tyler's Luck by Lyman Young and Tom Massey, Terry and the Pirates by Milton Caniff and George Wunder, Superman by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Mustanaamio by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy / Ray Moore, Mandrake by Lee Falk and Phil Davis, Johnny Hazard by Frank Robbins and on.
The magazine printed serialized stories with comic pages/strips as covers up to 1959 #16, then full lenght stories with real covers. The size from 1957 #19 to 1958 #22 was fold-style newspaper (29 x 40 cm).
