"El Libro de la Historieta" was a comic book series printing various figures as; "Jane Arden", "Buz Sawyer", "Dr. Drew", "Bufalo Bill", "Aguila fantasma", "Ted Strong", "Alan Champion", "Espaguetti", "Kit Carson", "Johnny Hazard", "Flash Gordon", "Brick Bradford", "Buz Sawyer", "Steve Canyon", "Tumbleweed", "Capitán Kid", "The Phantom", Mandrake and others.
According to "Boletín Oficial de la República Argentina" the first issue was released on October 3, 1946 and the second issue in December 1947. In 1953 and 1954 two issues a year were released, September and December. In 1955 three issues (12, 13 and 14) were released (April, September and December).
