Following the 2024 paperback book [[Defenders of the Earth (Mad Cave)]] - reprinting the full 1987 "Star Comics" (an imprint of Marvel Comics) original series -, "Mad Cave" has planned to publish an all new [[Defenders of the Earth - Comic Books]] series of 8 issues (with sub-title "From the World of Flash Gordon" on the covers), directly licensed from "[[King Features Syndicate]]" and written by [[Dan DiDio]] previously co-publisher of DC Comics.
