Mandrake was the regular series of Mandrake comic books published by the Turkish publisher Tay Yayınları. A total of 216 issues were released from 1974 to late 1980's. Cover illustrations were by Turkish artists, the most prolific being Aslan Şükür.
History
First series (1974-1979)
The first issue is dated July 8, 1974 and the last (#250) on May 13, 1979. It was a weekly publication. Issues had 34, 44 or 52 pages. The stories have been newspaper strip stories. Unsold issues were collected in albums later, 3 issues per album. After the weekly run of the magazine ceased, the albums continued (#82 to #231) their run with reprints and occasional brand new adventures of Fred Fredericks, Phil Davis and a few stories from Fratelli Spada artists for several additional years.

Second series
In this series weren't printed publishing dates, but it was also weekly publication in early 1980's. All published stories have been newspaper strip stories. Issues had 52 pages. Unsold issues were collected in Süper Albüms later, 3 issues per album. After the weekly run of the magazine ceased, the Süper Albüms continued (#21 to #80) their run with reprints and occasional brand new adventures of Fred Fredericks and Phil Davis.
Süper Albüms had one more series (#1 to #33).
