Luiz Fernando Guimarães, also known as Lutz, was a Brazilian illustrator.

Biography

Luiz Fernando Guimarães was born in Dom Pedrito, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. After two years of studying architecture, he turned to illustration works under the guidance of the artist and painter Mario Pacheco, the latter having then drawn RGE covers under the pseudonym of MaPa.

At the late 40’s, he worked for the magazine "O Globo Juvenil", then still a weekly supplement of the newspaper "O Globo". He then illustrated covers for comic books before he created the advertising agency PBC.
