Frew Publications are an Australian publisher, known for their long running Phantom series.
History
Created in 1948 by Sydney businessmen Ron Forsyth, Lawford Richardson, Jack Eisner and John Watson they created the business name Frew by combining the first letter of each surname. Not long after Eisner and Watson left but the name Frew was retained. The first edition of The Phantom debuted on the 9th of September, 1948.
In 1987 Richardson passed away, Forsyth went into semi-retirement and Jim Shepherd became the new owner and publisher.
