Super Albo was a series of Mandrake comic books published by the Italian publisher Fratelli Spada from January 1962 to February 1967.
History
Until the Super Albo issue 157, only the even numbered issues were devoted to "Mandrake the Magician", and the uneven numbered issues were devoted to "The Phantom". After issue 157 the series was splitt into two series. Super Albo continued printing only the Phantom, while Mandrake continued in a new series named Special Mandrake.
Almost all issues featured reprints of American newspaper stories, mainly daily stories. The format size was 17 × 24 cm with 64 or 80 pages. The issues also contained reprints of other American comic classics like "Tim Tyler's Luck", "Rip Kirby" and so on.
