"Afternoon with Lothar" is the 2nd Mandrake filler page in between the 10th and 11th Sunday story. The title are taken from last page of the previous story. The story was written by Lee Falk and drawn by Phil Davis.
Plot Summary
A quiet afternoon Mandrake takes a little nap, while Lothar stopping by to visit his friend Leonard. While he waits for his friend to pop up two burglars came in. In the struggle that follows a burning lamp is overturned and the lion escaped. And on the top floor of the burning house, a woman and child. Back at home Mandrake asking what Lothar have done all the afternoon. "Nothing", Lothar said, "Me visit friend. Him wasn't home".
