Ertuğrul Edirne is a Turkish artist.
Biography
Ertugrul was born in Hadimköy, Istanbul. After graduation in 1971 he studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Istanbul and worked for the daily newspaper Hürriyet. From 1973 he worked for customers outside Turkey through the international agency APS.
Ertuğrul Edirne started his own studio in 1976. Initially he illustrated Turkish movie posters and eventually worked on APS for German clients. He also made a few covers for Tay Yayınları's Mandrake series.
In 1977 he start working for the German Bastei Verlag with series like: Bessy, Lasso, Silberpfeil and others. In addition he did covers for the publishers Heyne, Pabel, Goldmann, Ravensburger, Kosmos and Norbert Hethke.
