Charles Raizer (1892-1967) bought a company that made manufactured tissue embroidery patterns in 1917. He changed the company name to Transogram, and started to manufakture toys, play sets and activity items. One of the graphic designer at the company was Al Capp, later known for the comic strip Li'l Abner (and later Lee Falk's silence partner at "The Boston Summer Theatre").
