Issue overview

Pulp Colección de novela popular was a series of small, compact hardcover books:

  1. "El Hombre Enmascarado", La historia del Hombre Enmascarado by Lee Falk.
    • Translated by Rolando Hanglin and with the articles: "El origen del Hombre Enmascarado" by Román Gubern, "El Hombre Enmascarado en el cine" by Louis Gasca, "El Hombre Enmascarado en España" by Antonio Martín and "El Hombre Enmascarado del comic al cine" with pictures from the 1943 serial.
      • Translated version of The Story of the Phantom the first of a series of 15 novels based on Lee Falk's Phantom stories, published by Avon Publications in the U.S.A.
  2. "Flash Gordon", En las Cavernas after Alex Raymond.
    • Translated by Rolando Hanglin and with the articles: "Alex Raymond novelista" by Román Gubern, "Flash Gordon en el cine" by Luis Gasca, "Flash Gordon en España" by Antonio Martín and "Flash Gordon del comic al cine" with pictures from the serial.
      • Translated version of the "Flash Gordon in the Caverns of Mongo" based on Alex Raymond's "Flash Gordon" stories, published by Grosset & Dunlap in the U.S.A., 1936.
  3. "Mandrake", La dimensión X by Dick Fulton after Lee Falk.
    • Translated by Carlos Pumeras and with the article: "Mandrake el Mago" by Óscar W, Benítez.
      • Translated version of Lee Falk's "Mandrake the Magician" stories, possible to be published by Avon Publications in the U.S.A.

The covers were made by Enrique Torres, and the books have some illustrationes from the original newspaper stories.
