From 2002 to 2006, this series of reprint publications, available only by subscription orders, was released by British "U.K. Comic Fandom Publishing", featuring classics comics such as "Buz Sawyer","Vic Flint", "The Lone Ranger" and "Mandrake the Magician" in oblong format for fitting with the original daily strips.
As written inside the issues, it was a "fan publication not for regular sales" and consisted of a "limited edition for collectors".
Seven unnumbered Mandrake the Magician issues were published (numbers listed here for convenience) :
- #1 : "Doctor Congo"
- #2 : "The Old Ones"
- #3 : "The Mysterious Prince"
- #4 : "The Sign of 8"
- #5 : "The UFO"
- #6 : "The Odd Fellow"
- #7 : "The Witches"
Note
- Few information is available about this series. Despite the words "U.K.Publishing", it remains uncertain that it was really published in Great Britain and the heading could have to do with some copyright reasons. In this way, it’s worth to notice some similarities with “the Classic Mandrake Series” released by “Pacific Comics Club” (some titles and cover presentation in common).
