In 1982, [[Editorial Columba]] published the first issue of ''Sandokan'', with such classical strips as Tarzan, Gringo by Carlos Gimenez, Rip Kirby, Popeye, [[The Phantom|The Phantom]] by Sy Barry, [[Mandrake the Magician]] by Fred Fredericks.
