Portugal Press was launched by his director, Roussado Pinto, the editor being M.A. Lopes de Sousa. The publishing house became one of the most famous Portuguese comics publisher.

Before the founding of "Portugal Press", Roussado Pinto also worked for Mundo de Aventuras. In the last part of "Portugal Press", some of the comics magazines were distribued via Agência Portuguesa de Revistas
