Plot Summary
On the ice field Mandrake and Narda find a fainting girl tide to a stake nearby a hole in the ice. In the hut of her father they hear of the ice-demons, living beneath the ice. Each day the villagers leave food offering at the ice-holes, and once a year a girl.
