"Il tibetano della caverna rossa" is an Italian made Mandrake story from 1963.
Plot summary
In Lauag, a Chinese Island, several young girls have disappeared. Police detective Willy Keenan and Sergeant Marlowe try to find out what happened. They will be helped by Mandrake and Lothar. The latter pursue the bandits to a Tibetan monastery whose leader is researching how to restore youth to old men using the blood of missing young girls.
Behind the scenes
The story is a redrawn version of the 3 part Italian story "Il mistero della caverna rossa" by Aurelio Galleppini. Most of the panels are edited. Mandrake and Lothar are cut out and replaced with new art, looking more like Phil Davis art from the 50s.
