S.S. Argos is a yacht owned by Colonel Barton.
History
S.S. Argos was used for a scientific expedition (and the search for the fabulous Flame Pearls) to the South Pacific. Colonel Barton turned the ship and himself to the navy during the WWII, strangly the yacht changed the name to S.S. Argus. It seems like Mandrake and Narda were invited aboard the same ship, now owned by Sir Harry (?), on a voyage from Europe through the Sargasso Sea. When Colonel Barton bought himself a new smaller boat he named it Argos II.
Behind the scenes
- The inspiration for the name of the yacht is from Greek mythology, "Jason and the Golden Fleece".
