Coleccion Heroes Modernos Série C was a Spanish publication dedicated to various King Features Syndicate comic characters.
History
In the 75 issues of this weekly series, published in 1963 and 1964, one find : Rip Kirby by John Prentice, Prince Valiant by Harold Foster, Ben Bolt by John Cullen Murphy, Dr.Kildare, Flash Gordon, Tim Tyler's Luck, Secret Agent X-9 by Bob Lewis and Mandrake the Magician by Phil Davis.
All 75 issues were first collected into one album, and later into fifteen Biblioteca Eterna albums.
At the same time, there were two other series with the generic title Coleccion Heroes Modernos: the "série A" devoted to "El Hombre Enmascarado" and the "série B" devoted to "Flash Gordon".
It should be noted that with issues Héroes Modernos - Serie C #56 to Héroes Modernos - Serie B #66 back covers reproduced one Sunday page in color by Phil Davis, taken from another story than the one illustrated inside. The continuity of this Sunday pages story running alternatively from back covers in the series A to the back covers of the series B and C, a commercial way to get readers in buying each issues from the three different series if they wanted read the full Sunday pages story.
