Kippari Kalle is a Finnish publication, published between 1952 and 1954.
History
Sanoma Osakeyhtiö published the first issue of a title called Kippari Kalle (Popeye) in 1952. Inside one find Blondie by Chic Young, Prins Valiant by Hal Foster, Rip Kirby by Alex Raymond, Naamio by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy / Ray Moore, Felix by Otto Messmer. Mandrake was named Maaron in this series.
Corresponding titles were published in Denmark (cf. Fantomhefte), Germany (cf. Phantom-Heft), Norway (cf. Fantom-hefte) and a similar serie in Sweden (cf. Stjärnbragder).
