Arriving towards the South Pole, Miss Dory Survin, an aviator, faces a wall of mists. Mandrake and Lothar  fly off to help her.
While landing on the snow, they are suddenly attacked by a prehistoric man. The man saw Miss Survin but while escaping, he managed to trap
Mandrake and Lothar in a pit. By hypnotically stretching the wild man's hair, Mandrake manage to use it as a rope and get out of the hole
in which they were fallen down. Finally they find Dory and return to civilization with her.

The story is a short, redrawn version of the daily story "[[Mandrake in the Lost World]]" by Lee Falk and Phil Davis. Most of the panels are edited. Mandrake and Lothar are cut out and replaced with new art, looking more like [[Phil Davis]] art from the 50s.

Plot summary

Arriving towards the South Pole, Miss Dory Survin, an aviator, faces a wall of mists. Mandrake and Lothar fly off to help her. While landing on the snow, they are suddenly attacked by a prehistoric man. The man saw Miss Survin but while escaping, he managed to trap Mandrake and Lothar in a pit.
