However the \"Reading Eagle Company\"\nhas filled for bankruptcy protection early 2019 and its assets sell to \"Digital First\", a chain specialized in the repurchase of newspapers previous possessions.\n\nThe \"Reading Eagle\" has published many comics - as well in its daily as its Sunday publications -. So a banner, saying that the newspaper has \"Biggest Comics Section in the Land\", was proudly featured in the Sunday comics section. It can be fully understood when it is considered that so many of classical comics found their way through the pages of the Sunday supplement, like -just to name a few: \"Prince Valiant\", \"The Phantom\", \n\"Tarzan\", \"Blondie\", \"Wizard of Id\", \"Peanuts\", \"Pogo\", \"Beetle Bailey\", \"Dick Tracy\", \"Little Annie Rooney\", \"Scorchy Smith\".\n\"Terry and the Pirates\", \"Buz Sawyer\", \"Captain Easy\", \"Little Orphan Annie\", \"Tim Tyer's Luck\", \"The Lone Ranger\", \n\"Joe Palooka\", \"Archie\", \"Johnny Hazard\", \"The Heart of Juliet Jones\"...\n\n\"Mandrake the Magician\" daily strip and Sunday strip have been published in \"The Reading Eagle\" from \nSeptember 9, 1935 to at least December 2008 (probably later), which is probably the longest uninterrupted continuity of the series publishing\nin newspapers.\n\n\n== Published Daily stories ==\n{|table \n! He remodeled the cottage and had a tennis court built on the property. \n\nIn the beginning it was probably meant as a joke that someone started to refer to the summer house as \"Xanadu\". Then Lee Falk's family members took up the theme and embellished on it. Approaching the house there are (was?) a series of signs quoting from the opening lines of \"Kubla Khan\", in honor of Coleridge's pleasure dome. \n\nIn many stories, there are indications that Mandrake's home, Xanadu, is located in the same place as Lee Falk's cottage.\n\n{| table\n!Year !!Figure !!Title !!Comments\n|-\n| 1965 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Team\" || Balston Beach\n|-\n| 1967 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Mysterious Bureau\" || South Pamet\n|-\n| 1968 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Battle of Xanadu\" || Xanadu is located on West Pamet Road\n|-\n| 1969 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Bribe\" || Pamet Street and Balston Beach\n|-\n| 1970 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The 3D Monster\" || Pamet and Castlehill Roads\n|-\n| 1970 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Clay Camel (plus Women's Lib!)\" || Pamet Warehouse and Depot Road\n|-\n| 1971 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Magic Man\" || A road sign; South Pamet - Depot Rd\n|-\n| 1971 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Rogues\" || Collins Rd at Pamet \n|-\n| 1972 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Mission\" || Pamet Park\n|-\n| 1972 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Trail of the Pusher\" || 12-A Pamet Street and 10 Dopott Road five minutes north at Collins\n|-\n| 1972 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Dr Xoz Prof. of Smells\" || 27 North Pamet\n|-\n| 1975 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Thieves\" || SS Royal Pamet\n|-\n| 1975 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Ghost Town\" || Moxley University in Pamet Valley\n|-\n| 1977 || Mandrake the Magician|| \"The Cooler\" || Collins and Pamet, Pamet and 8th\n|-\n| 1984 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Dr Ffark's Cosmic Circus\" || On the road to Truro\n|-\n| 1987 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Executioner from 8\" || Bradford and Pamet, hide-out for the 6th arm of 8. \n|-\n| 1989 || Mandrake the Magician || \"The Gift from 8\" || Pamet Street, hide-out of the 7th arm of 8\n|-\n| 1997 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Mandrake Marries Narda\" || Guests in the wedding: Baron and Baroness of Truro, Duke and Duchess of Wellfleet\n|-\n| 1998 || Mandrake the Magician || \"Mandrake's Wedding at Xanadu\" || Guests in the wedding: Baron and Baroness of Truro, Duke and Duchess of Wellfleet\n|-\n|}\n\n==Notes==\n<references group=\"footnotes\" />\n\n"
